Manhattan Inn's extensive listings harken back to simpler times, when cocktails were more complicated. As its name suggests, this is a very hip, speakeasy-style piano bar, the likes of which I am magnetically drawn towards, but afterwards can't remember which borough it referenced, and if it was "social," "public" or "inn" in the name. But the offerings are thorough- a trait I love in any menu- so that I can enjoy reading the ingredients of a champagne drink even if I don't like champagne drinks. Also, the colorful descriptions are ideal, though perhaps they exist so the busy bartender doesn't have to stop and chat.
