We biked out to this modest roast beef cottage seeking an authentic platter piled high with sheets of juicy meat. What we got was another type of authenticity.
The restaurant itself didn't disappoint, with wood paneled walls and butcher-coated waiters. But the sandwiches themselves left something to be desired. Paired with standard onion rings and below average cheese fries, we were content to admire the campy restaurant's ability to pack the house on a Tuesday afternoon. Loved the placemat menu and carved wooden wall hanger pricelist.
