Mission Street Food

My favorite part of going to this clandestine San Franciscan eating operation was when E decided to order for us "the first 5 things" on the menu. Ordering in bulk is always a thrill, especially in a share-friendly group- and it's essential when in a fleeting small-plate restaurant "happening" held bi-weekly in a Chinese restaurant on Mission Street. The menu was titillating, with curious combos and a fully west-coast slant that didn't have me missing New York at all. My favorite might have been any of the 5 (perhaps 1- the crudo?) and we finished with the Cherries and Tarragon. Moving ever closer to my wish of "one of each, please," but I may have to be dining with more than 3 for that dream to come true.
