Mile End


When this place opened, just down the street from me, I was surprised to see it immediately overrun by crowds. I assumed it was because they had been flaunting this massive "Delicatessen" mural over the entrance for months before opening, and that people in this Brooklyn neighborhood are starving for simple, cheap, quick, good. Then I realized it was because they've already been written up in New York Magazine and... they serve Stumptown coffee... recipe for success! Not to be entirely cynical/sarcastic- I appreciate the limited menu, since it means they must know how to do a few things and do them well. Meats!
