Smokin' Mo's is one of the dozen or so restaurants on the main drag of Pismo that runs down to the pier over the ocean. I like the owners' expressive descriptions of their meat plates, drawing from their experiences rambling the country in search of the perfect bbq. One of my dreams, too, I've gotta say. They've set up a hodgepodge restaurant with assorted cueing techniques and down-home ambience. By that I mean license plate wall hangings and wooden paneling. Doesn't really read "Pismo Beach," or even California; instead it screams "BBQ!", which is probably why you came here.
